Each shawl is hand embroidered cashmere & wool blend, and features an intricate design with hand rolled edges. Every shawl bears the artisan's signature embroidered in Dari, the native language of Kabul, Afghanistan, as well as the Afghan Hands label, made from the removed burka that was absolved by one of our brave female artisans. Due to the ongoing military conflict in Afghanistan, fabric and thread colors may slightly vary from those featured on this website.
